How does FlatPe handle monthly maintenance?
You add a unit with its monthly maintenance amount and add the member who belongs to it. A maintenance charge then falls due each month. You record each payment when it arrives, and FlatPe shows who has paid and who has not. Quarterly and yearly cycles are also available.
Can I add a one-time charge, like a repair levy?
Yes. You can add a one-time extra charge with your own label, such as "Repair levy", to a member. Older dues that were outstanding before you started can be carried over the same way.
Can FlatPe send WhatsApp reminders to members who have not paid?
Yes. For each member with pending maintenance, FlatPe opens WhatsApp with a polite reminder already written and addressed to that member. You review it and tap send from your own WhatsApp number.
Does FlatPe calculate late fees or interest?
No. FlatPe does not add late fees or interest automatically. You can add a one-time extra charge yourself if your bye-laws provide for one.
Is FlatPe accounting software for society audits?
No. FlatPe tracks maintenance dues and payments; it does not produce balance sheets, audited statements or statutory registers. Keep your society accounts where you keep them today.
Does FlatPe also handle notices, complaints or visitor entry?
No. FlatPe is deliberately limited to maintenance dues, payments and reminders.
What happens when the committee changes?
Records stay in the society's account, not in one person's phone or spreadsheet. The owner can add or remove managers, so a new treasurer can be given access without anyone handing over a file.
Is there a free trial, and how much does FlatPe cost?
Yes. You get 30 days free with the whole product and no card. After that FlatPe is a flat monthly plan for the whole society: Starter at ₹499 a month or Pro at ₹1,999 a month, not per member or per unit.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. FlatPe runs in your phone's browser as well as on a computer, so the treasurer can record a payment at the gate or a neighbour's door.
What FlatPe does not do (today)
- It does not add late fees or interest automatically.
- It is not society accounting: no balance sheets, audited statements or statutory registers.
- It does not handle notices, complaints, visitor management or voting.
- It does not collect payments online itself: you record the payments you receive (UPI, cash, cheque).
- It does not send reminders by itself from a shared number; each reminder opens in your own WhatsApp and you tap send.
